Screen printing Induction £41.50 per person

Attend one of our screen printing induction sessions to be able to use the screen printing facilities in our open access sessions, happening twice a month.

Learn the basics of screen printing, be introduced to The Old Waterworks print room facilities and try your hand at printing your own one-colour A4 print. We will cover;

• Introductions to the space and facilities

• Image prep for your design

• How to coat and expose a screen

• Basic screen printing techniques

All materials will be supplied, with a limited range of colours and paper.

Please bring an image(s) on a USB stick that you would like to print. We will cover what makes a suitable image, how to prepare the image and print onto acetate ready to expose the screen. The best images to use have bold lines and high contrast, such as text or digital illustration - photographs won’t be used in this session. If you don’t have a suitable image to use, we have lots of pre-prepared designs for you to choose from.

If you would like to carry on screen printing after your induction, you can book onto the open access for the same day.

Please be aware that our sessions can only go ahead if we have enough bookings to cover the cost. You will be given 48 hours notice if a session has to be cancelled and you will be refunded. If you need to cancel your booking, you can request a refund up to 48 hours before the event, after which it is nonrefundable.
